A Meissen bell-shaped coffee cup and saucer, well-painted with a pair of rustics travelling through a vast landscape, each vignette within an elaborate Baroque reserve in gilt and outlined in black, the sides with scattered Deutsche Blumen, ear-shaped scroll handle, gilt rims, the saucer 13.5cm diam, underglaze blue cross swords, numbered in relief, and each numbered 68 onglaze, c. 1740
The cup has a very minor rim nibble, the saucer has a light scratch, otherwise good.
