A G.W. Scott and Sons c. 1909 large beautifully laid out four person wicker suitcased drinking and sandwich picnic set. Superb original condition, with its fine original lovely honey leathercloth interior with Scott and Sons early trade mark interior, plus sturdy wicker carrying handles either end, plus locking bar. Comprising of copper kettle, burner and stand, ceramic lined sandwich box, wicker covered drinks bottle, food box, ceramic butter jar, lid held in place by leather straps, 4 stacking glass tumblers, each housed in its own wicker container, with milk bottle, full cutlery set plus four gilt edged enamel plates housed attractively in leather straps in the lid. This is an exceptionally rare fine early original and most impressively beautifully designed custom made set from a top maker. This set is not only a fabulous picnic set, it is also a full and complete drinking set for the serious motorist also wishing to partake in a tipple with friends on a picnic break on his journey. The set is in lovely original condition. Most impressive set for four persons, so ideal for a veteran or early Rolls, Bentley or fine early motor car.
