Great Britain: Royal Panopticon of Science and Art, certificate for one share, 185[1], #3983, issued to Daniel Mildred, partner in the private Bank of Mastermans in London, very ornate border with small vignettes of allegorical figures, names of famous scientists in medallions such as Newton, Watt, Faraday and Davy, black, mauve embossed seal. A large and impressive structure in Moorish style, erected in Leicester Square, to hold scientific exhibitions. The building opened in 1854 just before the outbreak of the Crimean War and the company failed within 2 years. Sold and turned into the Alhambra. The Odeon cinema now stands on the site. GVF and now scarce.
