An Indo-Persian Bronze Celestial Globe Astrolabe, 19th Century.
An Indo-Persian bronze celestial globe astrolabe intricately engraved with star constellations, zodiac signs, and Persian inscriptions across the spherical surface. The globe rests within a circular ecliptic band, supported by a three-legged stand with turned baluster columns. Each hemisphere is covered in meticulously rendered astrological and astronomical symbols rooted in classical Islamic science. The outer ring is inscribed with numerals in Persian script, used for tracking celestial coordinates.
