A BOER WAR AND FIRST WORLD WAR GROUP OF THREE TO THE OUDSHOORN TOWN GUARD AND SIGNAL COMPANY. A Queen's South Africa Medal without clasps named to E.S. Littlejohn Oudtshoorn T.G. and Great War Pair named to Sjt E.S. Littlejohn SACSCRE. Edward Samuel Littlejohns attested for the South African Overseas Expeditionary Force at Potchefstroom on the 27th August 1915 at the age of 33. He served for 20 months with the Colonial Defence Force in January 1901. He arrived in France in April 1916 with the Signal Company and rose to the rank of Sergeant by 30th October 1917.
