A LARGE 19TH CENTURY BENGAL FUSILIERS ARMORIAL SERVING PLATTER DISH, decorated with boughs made up of shamrocks, roses & thistles – representing Ireland, England & Scotland to the edge along with the names of battles that the regiment took part in; ‘Affganistan, Buxar, Deig, Bhurtpore, Plassey, Guzerat’. To the centre a crest/armorial decoration, with further battle names of Ferozeshah, Ghuznee & Sobraon’. Possibly connected to the Munster Fusiliers. Dimensions :41 x 33 x 5cm (L x W x H).
