A very large stunning original oil on board painting by Polish artist Adam Kos titled "Co. Kildare" dated to 1995. Features an expressionistic landscape with the suggestion of a copse of trees to the right silhouetted by a dusky purple and blue sky. Has Apollo gallery sticker to verso.
Kos specialises in sculpture, woodcarving and painting. He was drawn to the spirit of the Irish Landscape, which he describes as something you cannot touch. Taking his main influences from Frances Carot and the renowned 19th Century Irish painter, Barrett, his treatment of its many aspects is full of a sense of the mystery of natural things. He has a prolific auction history.
