GB.QUEEN VICTORIA 1841 PENNY RED IMPERFS - A REMARKABLE COLLECTION of very fine used examples arranged & expertly annotated by plate number from 12 to 177 in 3 volumes of the SG Plymouth album. This outstanding collection includes a totally complete set of plate numbers (we double- checked the most elusive, including plates 174, 175, 176 and 177) and perhaps less than 20 stamps out of 339 might have margins that touch the design. Quality is the distinctive feature of this collection, combined as it is with additional stamps for most plates often with plating characteristics noted or additional interest in the cancellations (we note 93 with Maltese Crosses, incl distinctive types, numbers in cross, etc).
