A closed frame double action pinfire revolver, number 1570, c 1865, round barrel 152mm stamped on the top strap “SYSTEME ITALIEN” and below the breech “G.INV. BR. BREVETE” and maker’s mark, Liege proved, the cylinder, which swings out for loading, has a separate hinged plate to the rear, with leaf and tendril decoration, chequered walnut grip, and lanyard ring. GWO & C (some light rust staining). £200-300.
