George III gold pair cased verge pocket watch, by J Orpion, hallmarked London 1764 (22ct standard), the repousse outer case worked with figures, one leading a horse, opening to a white enamelled dial with Roman numerals marking the hours and outer minutes, the verge movement with square pillars and signed back plate, numbered 6416, 45mm diameter

The watch does not currently tick when wound. The outer case has knocks and wear revealing some holes when held to the light. There are creases around the lower edge of the back of the outer case. Some spot repairs can be seen from the inside. Worn cover to the button. The dial has hair cracks from 1 o'clock through to 4 o'clock. There is also a hair crack running from the centre of the dial towards 6 o'clock and another between 11 and 12 o'clock. The hands are almost certainly replacements
