A 19th-century gold and turquoise snake brooch pin. The gold brooch pin in the form of a ouroboros serpent having an engraved head, set with nine graduating round turquoise cabochons and red stone cabochon eyes to hinge pin and c-clasp verso with safety chain. Unmarked, surface tests indicate 18ct gold. Measures 5cm x 3cm. Weighs 10.6g. All weights, measurements and sizes are approximate.
