A Victorian brass banded coromandel three bottle tantalus with two hinged flaps and a fall front, secured with a Bramah lock. With three square section hobnail cut spirit decanters with globe stoppers and fitted with a pair of hinged carrying handles. 39 cm wide x 36 cm deep x 35 cm overall height

The keeper of the lock moved in transit but now the key works and I have been able to take images of the interior for the first time. The fall front has a brass pin missing that secures a small section of brass banding, see images. I think the back of the tantalus has been re-veneered in English walnut as opposed to coromandel and also shows signs of some old splits now filled The two flaps that release the decanters have cracks in the ground timber that is showing through the veneer slightly. The interior has been re-fitted at some point. The key will work with a little jiggling
