A TOP QUALITY EDWARDIAN MAHOGANY INLAID LADIES LEATHER TOPPED WRITING DESK, to the top is a cross-banded mahogany hinged letter box; that opens to reveal a fitted interior on each side are marquetry inlaid decorative panels and to the front a tooled leather writing surface. Beneath is a single drawer with turned brass handles and below this an open shelf; perfect for storing books or folders. To the sides & back are unusual decorative spindles with a ball detail to the centre, all raised on tapered legs on castors. The design is really beautiful and quiet unusual.
