Belgium: Liege-related collection in red 'Centaur' album of some 50 entires/covers of 1815 to 1868 period, either pre-stamp or unstamped post first Belgian stamp issue in 1849, much postal history with scarcer post marks including 'Franco tout' and various ambulant on later letters, official, commercial, director of post, procurer of the King, all seen with correspondence to Britain, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland.

From the collection of Tom Pring, a highly respected member of the Belgian Study Circle and the author of two works on Belgian issues, ‘Fine Barbe Varieties’ (2009) and ‘1893 Armoires du Royaume’ (2015). Pring was half-way through a work on the Ostend-Dover Route, which he was sadly unable to complete.
