A FINE VINTAGE PERSIAN TABRIZ CARPET, hand woven in Maragha, Azerbaijan Province, Iran c.1940. Material: hand woven using woollen yarn, with a knot density of 350,000 knots per square metre, dyed using natural dyes taken from madder, rhombus root, walnut skin, henna and saffron. Design: the rug features a rich dark blue classical central medallion surrounded by intricately woven geometric designs. Size: 300cm x 195cm
