Eleven British Military World War II Royal Air Force addition pilots maps, for official use only, possibly used during the Battle of Britain by squadron no.54 who flew spitfires, one map stamped 'Officer Commanding No.54 Squadron, Royal Air Force' some maps inscribed 54 (F) Squadron, sheets five and eight inscribed A F Sunderland-Cooper, sheet twelve inscribed AWA Bayne (Flight Lieutenant Alfred William Alexander Bayne) No.54 Squadron was given the duties of supporting and giving air coverage to the evacuation of Dunkirk in May and June 1940. The squadron was heavily involved during the Battle of Britain until November 1940
