Rare English Bone China, Duke of Bedford, Woburn Abbey Private Collection The Duchess Anna 22 Piece Tea Set (Teapot missing Lid).
Possibly reproduced from an Original Tea Set as Anna Russell, Duchess of Bedford, is said to have invented Afternoon Tea in the mid 1840's. She was bored of the stretch of time between lunch and dinner and so began regularly inviting friends to join her for tea, cakes and sandwiches in the afternoon.
