A brass barrelled “semi blunderbuss” pistol, c 1760, by Parr (John Parr of Liverpool), 13½” overall, slightly swamped two stage barrel 8”, the octagonal breech having Tower private proofs; plain flat signed lock with unbridled frizzen and swan neck cock; plain walnut fullstock with bulbous butt; brass mounts include grotesque mask butt cap, oval escutcheon, flat sideplate and trigger guard with acorn finial; with horn tipped wooden ramrod.
