British East India Company Sapper and Miner’s sword bayonet made by Heighington. Designed to fit a British Sapper’s and Miner’s P1841 Carbine. 555mm long single edged fullered blade. Marked "24" and Heighington to spine of blade. Overall length 690mm. No scabbard.
Cleaned condition overall. Light rust pitting to blade and socket. Original example and not a modern reproduction.
