A fantastic collection of WW2 items from one man, his name J.E.Hewitt Royal Engineers, a B2 Wilkinson Sword Co Ltd Fairbairn Sykes knife 3rd pattern, his boxed M.B.E., his medals, shoulder board badges plus two silk escape maps etc. The knife was presented to Jack (J.E.) Hewitt whilst serving with the Royal Engineers at the Siege of Tobruk during WW2, Jack was awarded the M.B.E (Military) for repairing and restoring enemy artillery and bringing it into action against the Germans. He had to prove that he could throw the knife before it was awarded to him.
