A RARE SCOTS GUARDS 1828 PATTERN BASKET HILT SWORD, mid-19th century, double edged fullered 32in blade with proof slug, etched with Scots Guards Badge and scrolling foliage on both sides, traces of original blue & gilt. Basket hilt with Scots Guards badge on central basket hilt bar, domed pommel, fish skin grip with red felt liner. In its steel mounted black leather scabbard.
