WWII: Worm Drive & Ballraces from a Lancaster shot down over Denmark (Middlefart Fyn) 18th May 1942. Retrieved by a Danish resistance member "Her Peter Fournaise" of Frederica, Denmark. The crash site is now marked by a stone set in the midst of heather & pine trees. A bronze plaque reads:

Denne Sten Rejster Paa Stedet Hvor 8 Allierede Flyvere Blev Skudy Ned Under Kamp.
