A fine Victorian Gold, Turquoise & Garnet 'Snake' necklace.
Circa 1880.
Unmarked but tests as 14ct or higher. These popular Victorian necklaces were normally made in 18ct gold.
Set with numerous turquoise cabochon, with Garnet eyes. Suspended from its mouth is a heart shaped pendant with 'Forget-me-not' design (signifying Love).
Clever clasp connecting end of his tail to his head.
