Joe Townend, (British b. 1946), LMS Princess Coronation Class Steam Locomotive 46229. oil on canvas, signed lower left, framed. 20 x 30in. (50.8 x 76.2cm.). * Built in Crewe in 1938 and worked express trains on the LMS between London and Scotland. It spent time as an exhibit at a Butlins Holiday Camp before being restored in Streamlined casting and named Duchess of Hamilton and put on permanent static display at the National Rail Museum in York.. Good condition
