BEYER PYRAMID INK. (Inks Book p140/141 G5-6). 2.6ins tall. Stepped rectangular pyramid, metal neck ring (no lid), deep cobalt glass, embossed E. BEYER. This very rare shaped bottle is usually found embossed Antoine & Fils (a similar one was also used by Maurin). Eduard Beyer (1825-1907) took over the Lion Pharmacy in Chemnitz in 1856 and expanded it becoming what was described as Germany�s largest workshop. Copying ink was a specialty with shops in Dusseldorf, Hamburg and London. Guy Burch Reserve Collection
