A scarce 3 barrelled 150 bore tap action flintlock boxlock pocket pistol by J. H. Bolton, London, c 1800, 5½" overall, turn off barrels 1¼", muzzles starred to take a barrel key, lower breech with Tower private proofs; frame engraved with trophies and flowers and signed in ovals; with top safety which secures the frizzen, raised pan, and walnut butt with chequered back edge and vacant rectangular escutcheon. Good Working Order and Condition(slightly worn overall, centre of the top safety and tap lever old restoration). J.H. Bolton was a Birmingham gunsmith who marked his guns "London". Plate 36
