German circa 1860 export trooper's cavalry sabre and scabbard, pommel marked H?, knucklebow marked 23H leather and wire grip, grip missing wire binding, generally very fine. Germany produced a large quantity of swords for the European and USA markets in the mid 19th century, they are usually unmarked as they did not want to show an alignment to the forces in American Civil War, this allowed them to sell to both sides. BUYER MUST COLLECT.
