£160
19th century fashion accessories: a pair of black silk evening boots with side buttons, leather heels and soles, square toes, cream cotton lining, stamped inside “23”, with “2” underneath, the leather sole stamped with a circular mark, not legible, another number, “11” stamped near the heel; together with a 19th century pale green silk draw string reticule with applied black velvet panels and cording, lined in cream muslin, and a carriage parasol with carved bone handle, the cover constructed in panels of floral woven silk, in cream, brown and pink, lined in cream silk, elaborate bi-colour fringing to the lower border and around the finial, itself covered in the silk fringing thread (3)
The boots have very slight wear to the silk on the toes, and several buttons are missing. The reticule appears in good order. The parasol has splits to both the cover and lining and the slider will not sit over the centre joint as the bone has cracked.
