addressed to John Caton of Woodbastwick, Norwich, dated 1837, 7cm x 14cm; together with a copy of a letter from a seaman on board the Victory, a contemporary copy of James Bagleys famous letter to his sister, in which he describes the battle of Trafalgar and the death of Lord Nelson, hand written in ink on paper (2)
Provenance: The signature was purchased privately 24th February 2017. The letter purchased from Stephen Rench, bookseller, April 2023.
Note: The original letter from James Bagley is at the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, AGC/B/18.
