Sent from Gresham College, dated November 30th 1711.
John Woodward was a well-known geologist best known for the collection of fossils he amassed. Upon his death, he bequeathed his fossil collection to the care of the geology curator and the University of Cambridge before it was later transferred to the Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences.
