A Late 19th Century French Gilt and Patinated Metal Automaton Quarterdeck Clock by Guilmet of Paris, No.1860 the 2.75ins diameter dial with Arabic numerals to the eight day two train movement striking on a gong, contained in case in the form of ship's stern, the upper deck with a figure of helmsman standing at a wheel, a binnacle compass and lanterns, the lower deck with a ladder and figure of a sailor coiling a rope, the front engraved 'B. Cittadini' on red veined marble base,  11ins wide x 9ins deep x 12.5ins high
