First World War Era Oil Painting "HMS Gibraltar". A nicely detailed oil of HMS Gibraltar, Edgar class cruiser launched in 1892, reclassified as a depot ship in the Shetland Islands in 1914, and broken up in 1923. Her guns survive and can be viewed at the entrance to Swarbacks Minn in the Shetlands. Dimensions of the painting: 38cm x 29cm
