A GEORGE V MILITARY MEDAL. A Military Medal named to 9834 Sjt J. Cowles 7/S Staff. R. Jonathan Cowles was wounded on the 3rd June 1915 and entitled to a wound stripe, wounded for a second time on the 4th November 1918, he fought with the 2nd Battalion of the South Staffordshire Regiment. His Military Medal was published in the London Gazette on the 25th January 1918, page 1333 for 'Bravery in the Field'. Mounted for display.
