Great War Victory Medal to Cork-born Royal Dublin Fusilier, survivor of the SS River Clyde landings at Gallipoli, 5791. PTE. D.O'CONNELL. R.D.FUS. David O'Connell was one of three brothers on War Service in the Great War, his younger brother John Joe was killed in action in Ypres in October 1918; while David received three gunshot wounds, in separate actions, before being discharged.
