A worksplate, JOHN FOWLER, 4210012, 1950, from a standard gauge 0-6-0 diesel mechanical locomotive new to Vauxhall Motors Ltd, Luton, Bedfordshire. Sold in December 1972 to George Cohen Sons & Co, Ltd. Cransley works, Kettering, Northamptonshire. Hired to Greenhithe Cement Works, Kent between December 1973 and December 1974. Scrapped on site at Cransley between July 1975 and February 1976. Cast brass, 18¾"x3½", the front repainted. (Postage Band: C)
