A 19TH CENTURY BRASS GORGE-CASE PETITE SONNERIE REPEATING CARRIAGE CLOCK WITH ALARM for the English market retailed by Le Roy & Fils, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals signed by the retailer LeRoy with both Paris and London addresses fronting an eight-day spring-driven movement striking the hours, quarters and half hours on two steel gongs, separate hammer for the alarm; with original jewelled lever balance-wheel escapement and selection lever beneath for Sonnerie/Silence - back plate with Drocourt stamp and numbered 16163. Engraved by the retailer Le Roy & Fils Paris and separately numbered 11373 - with leather carrying case and winding key. (16cm high handle up)
