painted in a rich cobalt blue in an archaistic style with 'taotie'-masks on a diaper-cell ground between whorl bands to the shallow barrel-shaped central section between leaf lappets to the spreading lower section and trumpet-shaped upper section

There is a visible rim break and an old repair with some fragments now detached (the seller has provided the pieces)
