German Third Reich Army Officer's Dagger with straps by WKC, Solingen. A good example circa 1935-45 with cream spiral celluloid grip and plain polished double-edged blade etched with WKC (Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Cie.) knight's helm logo. Plated eagle and swastika cross-guard, oak leaf decoration to pommel and ferrule. Housed in stippled plated scabbard with two suspension rings and foliate lockets. Complete with silver laced, velvet-backed straps with oak leaf ornamented oval buckles and stippled spring-clips. Service wear, plating dull. GC Army (Heer) Officer’s dagger was designed by Paul Casburg in 1935.
