Indian Talwar sword, with leather clad wooden scabbard, 102cm; also another Talwar sword with fullered curved blade, length 91cm (2)
The sword with the scabbard: The scabbard is held together with wire and cotton thread. There are losses to the leather cladding and losses to the wood sheath towards the hilt (see images). The blade has old rust degradation and small nicks on the cutting edge. The spine of the blade at the thickest part is 6.5mm.
The other sword: Nicks to the blade on the cutting edge. Rust spotting. It appears to have been chrome plated at some point. Loose pommel with losses and rusted through. At the thickest part the spine of the blade is 7mm.
