First Latin edition od the world of Clement of Alexandria. Beautiful illustrated title page and magnificent letter caps. Round and italic font, very elegant. From the presses of the famous printing house of Torrentino, famous Florentine typographer, competitor of Giunti (Torrentinus Ducalis Typographus).
47, [1]; 113, [3]; [4], 277, [51]. 2 title pages and 3 typographic brands with Medici coat of arms. First edition.

Condition: few small worm holes to margin at index, with a leaf pulling to gutter. Title with manuscript annotation and scribble. Spotted and browned throughout, still a good copy. Bound in tooled pigskin over wooden boards. Lacking clasps. 330mm x 230mm.
