A locomotive nameplate, AN COMUNN GAIDHEALACH, from a BR Class 37 D6971 built by English Electric/Vulcan Foundry, Works Nos 2531/D960 in March 1965, renumbered 37271 in March 1974 and 37418 in November 1985 and named between October 1986 and October 1991 after a Scottish organisation which supports Gaelic language and culture. Allocated new to Cardiff Canton, later Inverness where it would have worked the Far North and Kyle of Lochalsh routes, withdrawn in September 2007 and saved privately for preservation, hired to Colas Rail.
