A mid 19thC single barrel 16 bore percussion muzzle loading sporting gun, the 35" damascus barrel with octagonal breech section, the flat with Victorian proof marks, numbered 2929 714 and stamped 'T&W.W.' Bearing indistinct, gold-inlaid maker's name to the top. Straight-hand figured walnut stock with 14 3/8" length of pull. The lock, hammer, butt plate, trigger guard and grip engraved with acanthus motifs.
