WITHDRAWN: A 1974 Norton Commando 850, registration number JVG 202M, frame number 314962, engine number 314962, black. Norton’s Commando models have always been immensely popular both on the home market and abroad especially in America where they had a cult following. To emphasise their popularity they won Motor Cycle News Machine Of The Year Award every year between 1968 and 1972. Quite an achievement! This particular machine is an export model which was repatriated in 1990. This matching numbers example has formed part of a small private collection consisting of all Triumphs apart from the Commando. Our vendor has taken the decision to sell the Norton and continue to collect Triumphs because he hasnot bonded with the Norton.
