With 4 copied pages of service record, Thomas Hartley was born in Nelson, enlisted 11/1/99, issued QSA 2 clasps OFS, Cape Colony, tried by FGCM and sentenced to 84 days Imprisonment with Hard labour and reduce to the ranks for Drunkenness on Duty 25/5/01, to AR 12/11/06, mobilised 5/8/14, served as A/Sgt with 3rd Bn, never went overseas, discharged 10/1/16.
2. 1909 India GSM North West Frontier 1930-31 clasp to 8361 L-Nk Fazal Had 2-9 Jat R.
3. Voluntary Medical Service Medal and Bar to Mrs Annie Leath.
4. KGVI Imperial Service Medal officially re-named to George Frederick Harley.
5. KGVI Special Constabulary Long Service Medal to William B. Jackson.
6. WW1 BWM to 42131 Pte J.B. Still Sco Rif. He was severley wounded by gas shell serving with 2nd Bn May 1918. In mixed condition. (R)
