A late 19th Century ash framed Sussex type chair with woven grass seat and turned frame, together with a 1960s Italian Gio Ponti Superleggera style rail back chair, the frame stamped made in Italy, S/D. (2)
The frame of the Sussex type chair is sound and the woven grass seat is OK. The beech lath along the front of the seat appears to have been replaced.
Gio Ponti style chair - the seat has holed slightly and would probably not be suitable for daily use without the seat being restored.
