A Newton's New and Improved Terrestrial 12 inch globe, published 1816, with brass meridian circle and the pole with brass hour ring, and hand coloured paper horizon rings, printed with signs of the zodiac and the months. The Regency stand with turned pillar and swept tripod base, overall height 85cm, total diameter 43cm. Provenance: Michael Trethewey. A Gentleman of Taste.
