Henry VII (1485-1509) gold Angel. mm. cross-crosslet c.1504-1505, the obverse legend with large crook-shaped abbreviation after HENRIC. Presumed an old find c.1945/1946 with modern hand written note as such but also included is a letter dated 12 Sept. 1947 from Rev. John J Ketterer of The Presbytery, London Road, King's Lynn researching the piece. Further is a letter dated 28th Sept. 1982 where the then owner took further research and valuation from V.C.Vecchi & Sons o.b.o. Bonhams wherein the coin had been inadvertently prepared for sale. A most interesting coin with a lovely history. gVF on full flan. [5.12g, N.1698, S.2187]
