ENGLISH BLACK GLASS OCTAGONAL BODIED WINE STYLE BOTTLE. 7.4ins tall. Black glass/ dark green, short neck, double collar string rim, slight kick up, flattened base pontil. Extremely crudely made, misshapen, full of seed bubbles (a few popped), one in manufacture side flaw. Some light dullness & surface marks but in truth this is a truly very special offering. Various hand written David Walker Barker base labels record 1760-1770, and says recovered from canal near Chesterfield. The photograph really does not do this justice.
