Staunton pattern chess set, in boxwood and ebony, the pieces weighted, with a Morocco leather folding chessboard
The chess pieces are all good. There is residual glue however on two of the knights, this is where the horse element has been knocked off and then re-attached, rather crudely. This is quite common with this particular pattern. The chessboard has splits to the folding centre, consistent with normal use and age. There are scuffs to the outer edge and scuffs to the Morocco leather on the outer surfaces, again consistent with age and use. The box has a repaired split to the back edge of the lid, slithers of household paint, general knocks and scrapes.
