Obverse: first definitive portrait of Elizabeth II by Mary Gillick with legend around that reads '+ ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA BRITT: OMN: REGINA'. Reverse: Tudor rose surrounded by thistles, shamrocks and leeks. 'FID: DEF:' above and 'TWO SHILLINGS' below. Originally part of a 1953-dated proof specimen set. Sealed in NGC holder (#6320544-002). Mintage: 40,000. Finish: circulation/mint state. Composition: copper-nickel. Weight: 11.3g. Diameter: 28.5mm.
